If one of your coworkers year after year dresses in the most risqué Halloween costume that’s “NSFW”, you might want to show him or her these four advertising inspired Halloween costumes.

Not only are they safe for work, but they’re smart and original too! We give you the details on how to create your own and the approximate cost of each below.

1) Cookie Sync

The process of mapping user IDs from one system to another (SSPs, DSPs, ad exchanges and/or data providers) is called Cookie Syncing. So this is the perfect costume for you data geeks out there.

Wrap a paper towel tube in silver duct tape, bend and attach to your chest. Borrow a white drawer from a refrigerator and fill it with a variety of cookies. You’ll be a favorite at the office.

What you need:

– Paper towel tube

– Silver duct tape

– Refrigerator drawer

– Lots of cookies

Approximate cost: $35

2) Mobile First

By 2018, US mobile phone users will reach 268.7 million – that’s 81.6% of the population; hence the reason why digital marketers make mobile a big deal.

“Mobile first” is a term we’ve been hearing for 7+ years from marketing strategies to website design and it’s something that can easily be made into a Halloween costume. Find an image of a mobile device, resize, save and print. Finally, pick from one of the several affordable foam hand options on Amazon. Put them together and you’re Mobile First.

What you need:

– #1 Foam hand

– 24″ x 36″ Mobile poster on board

Approximate cost: $93

You might be able to get a 2-for-1 deal from your favorite office printing and supply store and then you’d be able to do this costume and the one below.

3) Ad Blocker

Most media folks don’t like to talk about ad blocking, but hey, the concept makes a great halloween joke. You’d need a partner for this one where one person dresses up like a banner ad, while the other dresses up like a regular person. The job of that regular person is to block the ad every time it tries to go by. Print anything you want on this banner and if you’ve got design skills you can opt to make it funny. Then print and you’re done.

What you need:

– 24″ x 36″ Poster on board

– Dark clothing to not distract from the ad

Approximate cost: $93 (The bigger you go in banner size, the more money you’ll pay to print. But as mentioned above – get a coupon or online deal and it will be cheaper).

4) First Party, Second Party, Third Party Data

Data helps marketers make smarter business decisions, influence ad campaign targeting, and helps to deliver more personalized messages and content. We explain first, second and third party data and how to leverage your audience data here, but for this blog post, let’s just talk about how this can be transformed into a Halloween costume.

Group costumes are fun and for this one you’ll need 3-4 persons and birthday party supplies. Have everyone dress in a neutral colors or in black to look more uniformed and wrap party decorations on your arms and legs. Print the numbers 1-3 and the word “data” – the latter of which can be stuck to a laptop. Throw confetti and create a moving party.

What you need:

– 3 party hats

– 4 rolls of streamers in different colors

– 3 sqwakers

– Confetti

– Laptop

Approximate cost: $50

$55 if you add some balloons
